~ Studio Notice and Update ~

I am finally able to start heading back into the studio next week part time.  My Mom is having heart surgery at St. Francis as we speak so that will prevent me from being back full time next week.  Each day will have to be taken one day at a time right now.  My infection is finally healed and I am finishing up my last round of antibiotics.  I have so many orders sitting at the studio that will be sorted as soon as I can get back in the door.  The contact on your order form will be the one you will be notified at.

Orders that will take the maximum delivery time or more are:
Late orders.....orders turned in past their due date.
Custom orders.....orders for Laginappe.  Your regular order will be delivered before the custom though.

~ Studio Notice ~

Thank you so much for the calls, texts, and emails during this difficult time for me.  My surgery didn't go as planned and I am having a hard time getting up and back to normal.  I tried to come in for two days last week and those two days have set me back another week.

I went back to the surgeon last week and he asked me not to return to work for 3 more weeks, but that feels impossible.  Babies grow too quickly.  I have developed an infection in the incision areas from my surgery.  The more I try to do, the worse they get.  It's like finally for once in my life, I've been tied down to re-cooperate and can't do anything about it.  :(

I will be taking newborn appointments as first priority as they don't stay that small long enough that a week or two would be okay to push them back.  I plan on trying to still shoot as many sessions as I can this and next week.  My worry and concern is to have somebody scheduled for an appointment that I can't make it to due to the pain.

Telephone calls are being returned by Rebecca who has been helping me as much as possible.  Most everything having to do with booking is done by me though.  Please forgive me for this entire process and the time it's taking to get back going.

Return contact will be slow at the studio due to Kori's recent surgery.  She plans to be back in the studio the third week in June on a regular basis.

Thank you

~ Quote of the Week ~

"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets
So love the people who treat you right,
forget about those who don't &
believe that everything happens for a reason
If you get a chance, take it,
if it changes your life, let it
No one said it would be easy,
they just promised it'd be worth it.

~ Update on my Mom Take 2 ~

Well.....The stint that they put in WAS working.  BUT.....Mom had another main artery blocked therefore has had to go through the entire stint process again.  They took her in this afternoon and "fixed" her again.  Her doctor reviewed the files and tests from the last cath, but there wasn't any problems in this artery then.  Who knows?  She is in Jackson General resting comfortably tonight and who knows what tomorrow will hold.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Reminder that I will be out for a few weeks re-cooperating from surgery the last week of May and First couple weeks of June.

Thanks,
Kori

~ Studio Notice ~

As you may have already read from the last couple of weeks, my Mom has been struggling with heart problems.  Well......as of last week, she began to have the same issues again.  Apparently the stint that was put in collapsed or somehow stopped working.  I will be having to rearrange my schedule again this week.  They will be taking her in Monday, tomorrow, again for a heart cath to find out what is going on.  I will update as soon as I know anything.

Thanks,
Kori

~ Update on my Mom ~

My Mom was taken in for her heart cath this morning.  They found a bad blockage into the main artery going into her heart.  He was able to clean it out and put a stint in it.  Hopefully, she will feel like a million bucks now!  Thank God for a warning sign instead of her continuing on to the point of a full heart attack.  She is usually the last one that would have slowed down even when she was hurting.  Hopefully things will be back on track soon at home and the studio.  One of those times where no matter what is happening in life....you better stop, slow down.....and smell the roses.

~ Studio Notice ~

I will be in and out of the studio for the next few days due to my Mother being hospitalized yesterday for chest pains.  She did respond to three dosages of Nitro and they kept her at the hospital here last night for observation.  Today, her chest pains continued and she was transported to Jackson General.  She is scheduled for a heart cath first thing in the morning.  If you are waiting on a call back or to pick up an order I will be back in touch with you as soon as I can.

Thanks, Kori
